Becoming a Better Me: Learning to Love

I have dedicated this year to the start of making myself better. I don’t enjoy reading nonfiction books, but I know how much beneficial wisdom is in many of them. My desire to grow has outweighed my dislike of nonfiction, and I have the first book done…finally!

I decided to start the year with being a better parent since homeschooling has me spending almost all of my time with my children. I want to make sure I am properly preparing them for an emotionally successful adulthood (which seems to be creeping up faster than one would expect). So my first book was The 5 Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell.

The book goes over (you guessed it!) the 5 languages that children, and really everyone, understands and feels love. I will share my notes from the book, but to really get the most out of it you have to read book for yourself. And I highly recommend you do that!

If you buy or borrow the more recently published copy, at the end of each love language chapter there are several ideas on how to implement the love languages in your daily life!

Download my notes and add your own to them!
